Is the software licensed to one computer only?+

Yes. Each software license is activated and bound to a single computer.

Important: Licenses CANNOT be transferred to another device under any circumstances. If you need to use the software on a different computer, you must purchase a new license.
Do you provide software updates?+

No, our software does not receive updates.

When you purchase diagnostic software from us:

  • You receive the current version available at the time of purchase
  • The software version you purchase is final
  • We do not provide updates to existing licenses

Your software will continue to work as-is for the vehicles and systems it was designed to diagnose.

What happens when a new software version is released?+

When new software versions become available:

  • Your existing software continues to work normally
  • Purchasing the new version is completely optional
  • New versions are treated as separate products
  • There are no upgrade paths - it's a new purchase if you want it
You Decide: Many customers continue using their original software version for years. Upgrading is entirely your choice based on your diagnostic needs.
Do you offer subscriptions?+
No Subscriptions: We do NOT sell subscription-based software. All our software is sold as a one-time purchase.

When you buy from us:

  • You pay once and own the software version permanently
  • No monthly or annual fees
  • No renewal requirements
  • No automatic charges

Can I transfer my license to a new computer?+
⚠ NO LICENSE TRANSFERS: Software licenses CANNOT be transferred to another computer under any circumstances. This policy has no exceptions.

Each license is permanently bound to the computer where it was originally installed.

This applies to ALL situations, including:

  • Upgrading to a new computer
  • Computer failure or damage
  • Selling your old computer
  • Changing workstations
  • Hardware upgrades (motherboard, etc.)
Protect Your Investment: We strongly recommend using a dedicated laptop for diagnostic software and taking excellent care of it.

How does remote installation via TeamViewer work?+

Our remote installation process is simple and secure:

  • Complete laptop setup: 2-4 hours
What do I need to prepare before installation?+

Before your scheduled installation session, please:

  • ✅ Download and install TeamViewer (free version)
  • ✅ Ensure a stable internet connection
  • Backup important data on your computer
  • ✅ Close unnecessary programs
  • ✅ Temporarily disable antivirus if requested
  • ✅ Have your computer plugged into power
  • ✅ Be present during the entire session
Is my computer safe during remote access?+

Can I install the software myself?+

No. Our diagnostic software requires professional installation and activation. We do not provide self-installation because:

💰 Refunds & Returns

Can I get a refund for software?+
⚠ NO REFUNDS FOR SOFTWARE: Due to the digital nature of our products, ALL SOFTWARE SALES ARE FINAL. No refunds will be issued.

This policy exists because:

  • Software is delivered immediately upon installation
  • Digital products cannot be "returned"
  • License keys are activated and bound to your system
Can I return hardware products?+

Yes, hardware products can be returned within 30 calendar days of delivery:

  • Product must be unused and in original packaging
  • All accessories and documentation must be included
  • Software licenses must NOT be activated
  • RMA number required before returning
Note: If software has been activated on a laptop, it becomes non-returnable.
How do I request a return?+
  1. Email info@motorsymphdiesel.com to request an RMA number
  2. Pack the item securely in its original packaging
  3. Write the RMA number on the outside of the box
  4. Ship using a trackable method
  5. Refund processed within 5-7 business days after inspection

Why isn't my software connecting to the vehicle?+

Connection issues are usually caused by:

Can I use the software on a Mac?+

Our software is designed for Windows only (Windows 10 or 11).

Important: Software licenses are permanently bound to your computer and CANNOT be transferred. You will need to purchase a new license.

Will my software work forever?+

Your software will continue to work as long as:

  • Your computer remains functional
  • You maintain a compatible Windows operating system
  • You don't reinstall or reset Windows
Note: Newer vehicle models released after your software version may not be supported. You have the option to purchase newer versions if needed.
